How To Take Care Of Your Merino Sneakers

Your Artknit Studios sneakers are far too precious not to care of in the right way.
If you follow these few simple steps, it will be easy for you to make them last longer and happier.

1. Wipe gently

Apply a damp cloth over your merino sneakers to dissolve any dirt or mud gripped to them, in necessary, carefully press and twist to lift the grime, then rub away remaining marks.

2.Difficult-to-remove stains

For stubborn stains, apply some mild detergent and brush gently using a soft brush (if you don’t have one, just use your old toothbrush). Wipe with a damp cloth. Rinse and repeat until the stain is gone

3. Dry fully

After your merino sneakers are all cleaned, sit them in a warm spot to air dry. For a quicker dry time insert some crumpled-up paper towels in the shoes to absorb part of the excess moisture.

4. Never, ever use a washing machine

Same goes for using a dryer. This can seriously damage the merino wool fabric and cause the stitching to come loose.

5. Re-stuff after each wear

In order to prevent the toe crease that forms in sneakers after a day of walking, re-stuff your them before putting them away. If you’ve long lost the original stuffing, scrunched-up newspapers are a great replacement.
